Ireine Janlenoux is a born and raised Ishgardian. A woman of scholarly intellect with a passion for knowledge and all things pertaining to new information to learn and gather. She's quite the hermit and has lived a very secluded lifestyle, leaving her sheltered and with little known of the world outside besides her natural talent as an arcanist.

Her Life

Born within the towering walls of Ishgard, Ireine Janlenoux spent nearly her entire life secluded from the world beyond her family's estate. A Wildwood Elezen of exceptional intelligence, she found little interest in the company of others and even less in the ideals of knighthood, faith, or social standing that so many of her peers cherished. While others sought glory, Ireine sought knowledge—and knowledge alone.Years passed with her rarely venturing beyond libraries, archives, and private studies. Ancient histories, forbidden theories, and forgotten military treatises became her closest companions. The path of the Scholar came naturally to her, not out of any desire to heal or protect others, but from a fascination with the precision of strategy and the pursuit of understanding. To Ireine, people were often little more than variables in equations she had yet to solve.Quiet and soft-spoken, she is frequently mistaken for timid or shy. In truth, her silence stems from indifference rather than fear. She keeps others at arm's length, showing little warmth and offering even less of herself. Few have ever managed to form a genuine bond with her, and fewer still can claim to know what she truly thinks.Yet beneath her detached exterior lies something far more troubling.Over the years, Ireine's studies led her to texts that should never have found their way into mortal hands. Records missing from official archives. Manuscripts whose authors were erased from history. Fragments of knowledge that spoke of things long buried beneath the foundations of civilization. She never shared what she found.
